What is WordPress?
WordPress is an online, open source website creation tool. It’s probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) around and it’s used by approximately 75 million websites worldwide.
Whenever I’m building a website or blog, WordPress is my go-to. In fact, I won’t use anything else. I truly believe it’s the best option for my clients.
You have total control. With WordPress, you can choose who you host with, decide how you want your site to look and you’ll always own the content.
There are plenty of plugins that can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress site. From live Instagram feeds to SEO, there’s a plugin for everything!
The design of your WordPress site can be completely bespoke. You won’t find yourself using the same template as a competitor and there are no limits in terms of style or function.
WordPress makes SEO super simple and it’s also Google-friendly.
It’s easy to switch hosts without losing your site’s information or data. Most hosts even offer a transfer service. For more on website hosting, read my blog post here.
You can take back-ups of your site and store them remotely with one-click, so there’s no need to worry if your site is hacked or your host stops operating
When it comes to websites and blogging, WordPress is where it’s at. Trust me.
